  A man has implicated himself in the death of 6-year-old Etan Patz, whose disappearance 33 years ago on his way to school helped launch a missing children’s movement that put kids’ faces on milk cartons, police said Thursday.

Ragers mark golden date

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rager of Johnstown have marked their 50th wedding anniversary during a surprise dinner given by their children at Anthony’s Restaurant, Geistown Borough.

The Ragers also enjoyed a stay at a Key Largo resort and a cruise to the Cayman Islands and Jamaica.

Mr. Rager and the former Virginia Kedzuch were married Nov. 25, 1961, at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Railroad Street, Johnstown, by the Rev. Patrick McGivigan.

Mr. Rager is retired from CamTran.

Mrs. Rager is retired from Cambria County Head Start.

The Ragers are the parents of four children: Lloyd Jr., and wife, Kelly, Johnstown; Stephen, and wife, Nancy, Johnstown; Teresa, and husband, Michael Mastovich, Johnstown; and Laura, and husband, Stephen Mealy, Leesburg, Va.

There are eight grandchildren: Shelby, Alyssa, Michael, Danielle, Ryan, Olivia, Sophia and Emma.

• 219 Southbound closed due to traffic accident

  Due to a traffic accident, Cambria Township emergency officials report that Route 219 southbound lanes are congested just south of Ebensburg. Two people were transported from the scene. Southbound drivers looking to avoid the traffic stop should exit 219 at Route 22.

  According to officials, 219 southbound lanes should be clear soon.
