JOHNSTOWN —
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Malzi of Johnstown have noted their 65th wedding anniversary with a dinner hosted by their children at Anthony’s Restaurant, Geistown Borough.
Mr. Malzi and the former Betty Louise Goller were married Nov. 28, 1946, at Zion Lutheran Church, Johnstown, by the Rev. Theodore Buch.
Mr. Malzi was born June 13, 1927, son of Herman and Frances Malzi.
Mrs. Malzi was born Aug. 1, 1927, daughter of John and Frieda Goller.
Mr. Malzi retired after 37 years’ service from Gautier Division, Bethlehem Steel Corp., as a crane operator.
He is a USS Midway Navy Seaman 2/C veteran, having served during World War II.
Mrs. Malzi worked at Acme and Sears.
She is a member of Daisytown and Cover Hill ladies auxiliaries.
They are members of Zion Lutheran Church.
They are the parents of three children: Peggy Malzi-Bizjak, Charlottsville, Va.; Cindy, wife of Larry Amenti, Johnstown; and Dale, and wife, Glenda, Thaxton, Va.
There are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
