  Huge tornado hits Oklahoma

  A monstrous tornado at least a half-mile wide roared through the Oklahoma City suburbs Monday, flattening entire neighborhoods and destroying an elementary school with a direct blow as children and teachers huddled against winds up to 200 mph. At least 51 people were killed, and officials said the death toll was expected to rise.

Clarks observe 70th anniversary

JOHNSTOWN — Mr. and Mrs. Richard Clark of New Hope, Bucks County, formerly of Johnstown, have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a Mass and family gathering hosted by Dick and Angela Clark.

Mr. Clark and the former Evelyn Saleeba were married Jan. 23, 1943, at St. Columba’s Roman Catholic Church, Johnstown.

The Clarks are the parents of a son, Dick, and wife, Angela, Doylestown, Bucks County.

There are two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.
