Lazers mark 60 years together

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lazer of Johnstown have marked their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Lazer and the former Jean Lois Stombaugh were married April 23, 1949, at Albright United Methodist Church by the Rev. Paul Garland.

Mr. Lazer worked for Quaker Sales for 35 years. He owned L.B.J. Contracters, a blacktopping business, for nine years before retiring in 1986.

Mr. Lazer enjoys gardening, hunting and fishing.

Mrs. Lazer worked for Bestform and Thorofare Markets.

She is active in her church and a volunteer at Memorial Medical Center.

She also works on the election board and was a former president of West End Lioness.

The Lazers are the parents of four children: Bruce, married to the former Renae Harbaugh; Jeannie, wife of Richard Brehm; Dr. Jack, married to the former Michele Macey; and Dr. Bob, married to the former Karen Naugle.

There are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
