Mr. and Mrs. John Walkowsky of Johnstown have noted their 50th wedding anniversary with a Mass at SS. Casimir & Emerich Roman Catholic Church in the Cambria City section of Johnstown, followed by a family party at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Bryan Heilmann.
Mr. Walkowsky and the former Virginia Mlinar were married May 2, 1959, at St. Casimir Roman Catholic Church by Monsignor Casimir Ossowski.
They are the parents of eight children: Bernie and friend, Mona; Theresa, wife of Bill Oreskovich; Fran, wife of Steve Haynal; Len, married to the former Carol Orosz; Jan; Patty, wife of Bryan Heilmann; and Becca, wife of Dan Mains.
A daughter, Kathleen, is deceased.
There are 12 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
