Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Williams of Brownstown have noted their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Our Sons’ Family Restaurant in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
Mr. Williams and the former Florence K. Riley were married Nov. 9, 1949, at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, Brownstown, by the Rev. Gerald Stephens.
Mr. Williams was born July 2, 1929, in Johnstown, son of Russell and Hazel Williams.
Mrs. Williams was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Johnstown, daughter of William and Gertrude Riley.
Mr. Williams retired from Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp.
He served in the Army in the 11th Airborne Division.
He is a member of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Williams worked at Glosser Bros.
They are the parents of six children: Thomas Williams of Johnstown; Denise Courter of Johnstown; Sharlene Jones of Portland, Ore.; Michael K. Williams of Connecticut; Mark D. Williams of Shippensburg, Cumberland County; and Richard S. Williams of Williamsport, Lycoming County.
There are 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
