Brandi Helmick and Ryan Mindyas were married June 27, 2009, in Martinsburg, W.Va.
The Rev. Jerry Mead, pastor of Pilgrim Presbyterian Church, performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Clarence and Deborah Helmick of Kearneysville, W.Va.
The groom is the son of Eugene and Theresa Mindyas of Johnstown.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Kelly Heldreth of Inwood, W.Va., as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Kristine Mindyas of Johnstown, sister-in-law of the groom; Stacey Clayton of Charles Town, W.Va.; and Donna Johnson of Gore, Va.
Thomas Mindyas of Johnstown was his brother’s best man.
Ushers were Blake Clayton of Charles Town, W.Va.; and Cagney Helmick and Donovan Helmick, both of Kearneysville and brothers of the bride.
Allison Mindyas of Johnstown, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
A reception was held at Heritage Hall, Inwood, W.Va.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of Jefferson High School and a 2003 graduate of Shepherd College, where she received a bachelor’s degree.
In 2005, she earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix.
She is employed by Jefferson County Board of Education at Washington High School in West Virginia.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and a 2002 graduate of Pitt-Johnstown, where he received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.
In 2007, he earned a master’s degree in special education from George Mason University.
He is a fourth-grade teacher at Frederick County Public Schools in Winchester, Va.
The newlyweds reside in Bunker Hill, W.Va.
