The Regional Business Network has elected new officers for 2013.
They are Eric Vizzini of WJAC-TV as president; Anthony Dean Neal of EO Media Solutions as vice president; Mary Ellen Denny of Wessel and Co. as secretary; and Mary Jane Reckner of First Commonwealth Bank as treasurer.
The Regional Business Network is a referral group comprised of business owners and leaders from Cambria and Somerset counties.
Windber woman named employee of month at Health Net
Katy Zankey of Windber has been named employee of the month for January at Health Net Federal Services in Johnstown. She has been a customer service representative at Health Net since 2011.
Health Net has partnered with the Department of Defense for more than 20 years to provide health care services to men and women who serve and their family members.
Avon worker earns trip to Las Vegas
Cynthia J. Pilkington of Windber has been recognized for her achievement at Avon with an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas.
The trip will include a concert for Avon’s top performers.
Pilkington, a native of Hampton, Va., is being honored for the highest sales increase in her division. A member of Avon’s prestigious Rose Circle, she is No. 1 in district sales increase and No. 3 in divisional sale increase.
She has been with Avon since 1989. This is her fourth achievement trip.
Woman named regional vice president at retail electricity provider
Danielle R. Wilks has been named regional vice president of GDF SUEZ Energy Resources NA, one of the largest competitive market retail electricity providers to commercial, industrial and institutional customers in the country.
Wilks, who has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, will oversee the management of customer relationships in five markets that are part of the PJM Interconection: Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware and Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining GDF SUEZ, she spent 10 years with Exelon Generation, where she hold both transactional and operational positions in wholesale and retail energy markets.
Wessel employee earns accreditation as administrator
Angela L. Novak, firm administrator with Wessel & Co., Johnstown, has received the association-certified accredited administrator in accounting practice management (AAAPM) by the Association for Accounting Administration (AAA).
AAAPM certification program joins a growing trend within accounting and other professions to recognize and create value for those individuals who have achieved a high level of competency within the Firm Administrator community.
