Clearfield Hospital to lay off 33 workers
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Hospital is laying off 33 workers because of budget problems.
The cutbacks affect clinical, support, administrative and management positions.
Some open positions will not be filled, and part-time hours may be reduced.
Clearfield Hospital has about 750 employees.
A spokeswoman said the hospital has been unable to close a shortfall of roughly $725,000 during the first six months of the fiscal year.
