SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The AHL's Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have reassigned defenseman Jon Landry from Syracuse to the ECHL's Johnstown Chiefs.
Landry, 24, has appeared in 11 games for the Crunch this season, collecting one assist and 12 penalty minutes. He has also skated in 37 games for Johnstown this year, tallying seven goals, 14 assists and 36 penalty minutes. The Chiefs host Wheeling at 7 tonight.
A native of Lexington, Mass., Landry was signed by Columbus as a free agent on March 19, 2007.
Landry is the latest in a quartet of Chiefs players to return to the Johnstown lineup. All-star goaltender Kris Mayotte returned from the AHL's Hershey Bears on Tuesday. Defenseman Mike Knight and former all-star forward Andy Contois each came off the injured list on Tuesday.
