B. Guilfoyle blanks B. Carroll
LORETTO - Bishop Guilfoyle’s D.J. Kitt rushed for 143 yards on 13 carries and teammate Cody Rossman added 92 on 20 carries as the Marauders shut out Bishop Carroll 28-0 on Saturday night at DeGol Field, their fourth straight win.
The Altoona squad (5-1) limited the Huskies (0-6) to 123 yards of total offense. Dan Lesney led the way for Carroll with 75 yards on 16 carries while Marty Lessard added six rushes for 31 yards.
Bishop Guilfoyle hosts Central Cambria on Saturday while Bishop Carroll is at Cambria Heights.

Swope grabs District 6 title
ALTOONA - Central Cambria’s Hannah Swope defeated Tyrone’s Anna Hollen on Saturday to win the District 6 Class AA singles title.
Swope, a freshman, bested Hollen 6-2, 6-1 in the championship.
Swope is also a member of the Red Devils cross country squad.
RUNNING
UPJ duo finishes invitational 1-2
GREENSBURG – Stella Sergeyev and Victoria Rizzuto of Pitt-Johnstown finished first and second, respectively, while competing as independents at the Pitt-Greensburg Invitational.
Sergeyev ran a 22:07.09 while Rizzuto had a 23:29.80. UPJ’s Amber Emery of Friedens finished 15th in 26:31.54.
