Central Cambria graduate Jordan Miller moved within two 3-point field goals of the Pitt-Johnstown career record, and Nick Novak scored
19 points and had a career-high 14 assists to lead UPJ in a lopsided 108-59 nonconference victory over Penn State-Beaver on Wednesday night at the Sports Center.
The Mountain Cats (10-7) got at least seven points from all nine players who dressed.
Miller had 13 points, including three 3-pointers to move within two of Danny Branch’s Pitt-Johnstown record of 269 set in 2011.
Bill Luther had 15 points, Noah Hartung had 13, and Matt Palo, Johnstown’s Paul Weatherly and Richland’s Dereck Malzi each had 11.
Novak moved into second-place on the Mountain Cats all-time scoring list with 1,768 points and is third on the assists list with 488, while Miller is 13th with 1,244 points.
