Hunters can donate venison

Hunters Sharing Harvest has been coordinating venison donations to hungry people in Pennsylvania since 1991.

Hunters can donate all or part of their deer at area processors and the meat will then go to area food banks and soup kitchens. Each year, on average, hunters across the state contribute 80,000 pounds of venison.

Participating processors include: Ed Pudliner Deer Processing in Johnstown, William Thomas Meats in Hastings and Thomas Smoked Meats in Riverside/Bens Creek.

If you are not a hunter but would like to help with the effort, donations are appreciated to go toward processing costs.
