Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.

Denice Duman of Summerhill has announced the engagement of her daughter, Kerin Stefanko, to Bradley Stager, son of Randall Stager of Portage and the late Thea Stager. Miss Stefanko also is the daughter of Mark Stefanko of Portage.

Miss Stefanko is employed by McKolosky Chiropractic, Johnstown.

Mr. Stager is employed by Stager Chevrolet, Portage, as a manager.
