Stephanie Schneck and James Wagner have announced their engagement.
Miss Schneck is the daughter of Stephen and Sharon Schneck of Johnstown.
Mr. Wagner is the son of Ronald Wagner and Sharon Wagner, both of Johnstown.
Miss Schneck is a 1999 graduate of Ferndale Area High School and a 2003 graduate of Penn State, where she received a degree in animal bioscience.
In 2005, she earned a degree in clinical laboratory science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
She is a microbiologist at the Pennsylvania Veterinary Laboratory in Harrisburg.
Mr. Wagner is a 1994 graduate of Greater Johnstown High School and a 2001 graduate of Pitt-Johnstown, where he earned degrees in chemistry and biology.
He is a chemist employed by the U.S. Army Petroleum Laboratory in New Cumber-land, Cumberland County.
An Oct. 16 wedding is planned at J. Irving Whalley Memorial Chapel on Pitt-Johnstown’s campus.
