JOHNSTOWN — Dr. Thomas and Debbie Cardellino and Dean and Susan Gindlesperger, all of Johnstown, have announced the engagement of their children, Dr. Christie Cardellino and Ryan Gindlesperger.

Dr. Cardellino is a 2003 graduate of Bishop McCort High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a bachelor’s degree in biology.

In 2011, she earned a doctor of optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

She is an optometrist employed by Eyetique, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Gindlesperger is a 2002 graduate of Bishop McCort High School and a 2006 graduate of Penn State, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business.

He is a partner at 1st Team LLC and Upgraded Strategies Inc.

A fall wedding is planned.
