Julie Masci, Joshua Becker

JOHNSTOWN — Ernest and Beverly Masci of Ebensburg have announced the engagement of their daughter, Julie Marie, to Joshua Alan Becker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Becker of Johnstown and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Donovan of Greensburg.

Miss Masci is a 2000 graduate of Bishop Carroll High School and a 2004 graduate of Slippery Rock University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.

In 2009, she earned a master’s degree in education and reading specialist from the University of Pittsburgh.

She is a first-grade teacher employed by Shaler School District, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Becker is a 2000 graduate of Hempfield High School and a 2004 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in finance.

In 2008, he earned a master’s degree in business administration from Ohio State University.

He is employed by Sesco Enterprises in Greensburg.

A September 2013 wedding is planned.
