JOHNSTOWN — Bob and Mary Anne Strittmatter of Windber have announced the engagement of their daughter, Allyson, to James Durney, son of Mike and Janice Durney of Oil City, Venango County.

Miss Strittmatter is a 2008 graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where she received a bachelor’s degree in education.

In May, she will earn a master’s degree in teaching from California University of Pennsylvania. She is a seventh-grade social studies teacher at Huntingdon Area Middle School.

Mr. Durney is a 2009 graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania, where he received a bachelor’s degree in communications.

He is employed by VisionQuest, Franklin, Venango County, as a youth advocate.

A July 21 wedding is planned at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Windber.
