JOHNSTOWN — Dave and Fran Mattis of Windber have announced the engagement of their son, Chad Matthew, to Kylie Marie Smith, daughter of Douglas and Stacey Smith of Blairsville.

Mr. Mattis is a 2005 graduate of Windber Area High School and a 2009 graduate of Mount Aloysius College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in criminology. He is employed by Garda Cash Legistics.

Miss Smith is a 2008 graduate of Blairsville High School and a 2012 graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. She is employed by Verizon Wireless.

A June 28, 2014, wedding is planned.
