When Keystone Championship Wrestling comes to town, two Johnstown natives will be in the ring.
Professional wrestling will begin at 7:30 tonight at Westmont Grove, 1000 Edgehill Drive.
Bill Collier of Johnstown, who has been wrestling as Big Time Bill Collier with Keystone for more than a year, will go up against Chris Coleman.
Collier’s girlfriend, Brandy Way, who wrestles for Keystone as XTC, will cheer Collier on as manager for tonight’s match.
“I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was a kid,” Collier said. “I’ve always dreamed about it, and I’m grateful for this opportunity. I’m living a dream.”
Way also had an interest in wrestling as a child, staging matches in her front yard.
Both she and Collier found out about Keystone after attending a show several years ago.
“We got in contact with Ken (Downs) and started training,” Way said. “I’ll be managing Bill tonight, but we wrestle for a couple different federations, sometimes together, sometimes separately.”
Keystone Championship Wrestling was founded in Altoona six years ago by Downs, who wrestles as Kato.
Tonight will be the Keystone wrestlers’ first time in Johnstown.
Downs has wrestlers from Pennsylvania, Ohio and Washington, D.C.
Collier and other Keystone wrestlers work during the week and perform in their free time on Fridays through Sundays.
“It’s a reprieve from daily life,” Collier said. “I’m glad we’re bringing the show to Johnstown.”
In addition to Collier’s match, the lineup for tonight’s show will include Doink the Clown vs. Kato; Diamond Troy Justice vs. Loverboy Lou; longtime rivals Powerhouse Hughes vs. Zubov; tag-team action with the Best Around vs. West Coast Hustlas; a three-way match between Lucio Deveer, Jimi the High Flying Hippie and the All-American Evan Manning; and Big Lenny vs. Doug Diggler in a tables match, where the winner must put his opponent through a table.
The KCW title match will pit champion Scott Fowler against Brock Singleton and Sebastian.
A title unification match will pit Cruiserweight Champion Xander Graves against Unified Central Pa. Champion, The Big Star.
A match between “The Future” Calvin McGrath and “The Ace of Hearts” Shane Valentine is being billed as a possible show stealer.
