Country singer Miranda Lambert will bring her show to Johnstown at 7:30 tonight at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, 326 Napoleon St.
Lambert’s latest album is “Revolution,” and she won the Academy of Country Music’s Album of the Year for her second album, “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”

Celebrating Christmas
The Hometown Christmas Celebration will bring a holiday concert, Christmas parade and Light Up Night to downtown Johnstown beginning at 5 tonight.
The celebration will begin with a concert by Inclined to Sing Children’s Chorus at 5 in Central Park.
The parade will start at 6 at Point Stadium, coming up Main Street led by participants of the Wings for Hope Santa Run, an organization started by Tina Honkus of Hooversville in memory of her late mother who battled melanoma and pancreatic cancer.
Registration for those who wish to participate in the two-mile run or walk will be held from 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. at the train station on Walnut Street.
The registration fee is $18 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12 who register with an adult.
As many as nine helium-filled balloons also will be featured in the parade.
After Santa is escorted to Central Park, he will flip the switch to light the park.
Children can visit with Santa at the gazebo, tell him their wishes and receive a bag of treats.
Super gala
“Superheroes, Villains and Vixens,” Memorial Medical Center Auxiliary’s annual gala, will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Sunnehanna Country Club, 1000 Sunnehanna Drive, Westmont.
Superheroes will be on hand for silent and live auctions, a Bruce Wayne mansion-inspired dinner, dancing and gaming in the Villains Casino.
This year the auxiliary is raising funds for the expansion of the medical center’s critical care unit.

Encore performance
Violin virtuoso Ann Fontanella will return to the stage when the Chamber Music Series of Greater Johnstown presents its next concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, 309 Lincoln St., downtown Johnstown.
Fontanella will give a master class to three local students in the afternoon, and a student recital will be held at 7 that evening.
For the concert, she will be accompanied by Johnstown pianist Dan Gresh, who has been rehearsal accompanist for Johnstown Symphony Chorus for many years and is currently organist and music director at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Richland Township.
One of the pieces Fontanella will play has been called the most challenging piece in the violin repertoire.
She also will play “Yankee Doodle” variations by Vieuxtemps and the theme from “Schindler’s List” by John Williams.
Tickets are $15 or two for $25 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $5 for students.

Good cheer
The 23rd annual Pennsylvania State Cheerleading Championships will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, 326 Napoleon St., Johnstown.
More than 100 teams from across the state will compete from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for students per day.

Political satire
The satirical comedy of Capitol Steps will bring some political zingers to Johnstown at 7:30 tonight at Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center, Richland Township.
The humor troupe is touring in support of its latest album, “Obama Mia!” and a new holiday album, “Barackin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”

Holly and jolly
The 39th annual Holly Bazaar and the fifth annual Festival of the Snowmen are on display at Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd., Westmont.
The Festival of the Snowmen will be on display through Dec. 20, and the Holly Bazaar will be on display through Dec. 24.
The festival will feature 10 originally designed snowmen figures, which will be sold by silent auction.
The bazaar will feature the works of 85 juried craftsmen.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

All aboard
The Santa Train, sponsored by the Horseshoe Curve Chapter of National Railway Historical Society, will run at 10:45 a.m. and 1 and 3:15 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 28 between Roaring Spring and Martinsburg.
All trips will depart from Roaring Spring, travel to Martinsburg and return.
Guests will get to travel with Santa and hear holiday music provided by local church choirs.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $8 for children ages 3 to 12. A ride in the caboose is $20.

Artistic opening
An opening reception for “Facets in Culture, Faces in Government, Portraying the Essence of People and Places,” an exhibit by Marcene Glover, will be held Saturday at Bottle Works Ethnic Arts Center, 411 Third Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.

Jazzy fusion
The Ethnic Social Club at Heritage Discovery Center, 201 Sixth Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown, will open at 5 tonight for a Next-to-Last Friday concert.
Music starting at 5:30 will feature Jazz Factor 3, with John Mundy, Ron Riley and Rick Cosgrove.
The group performs high octane jazz and fusion, blurring the lines between jazz, rock and world beat.
It performs a mix of old standards and new music influenced by artists such as George Benson, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Return to Forever and Santana.
There will be no cover charge.

Ski party
Greater Johnstown Athletic Ski Club will hold its 31st annual Kick Off Party from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at Ace’s, Chestnut Room, 316 Chesnut St. in the Cambria City section of Johns-town.
Music will be provided by John Stiffler.
The $25 admission fee includes a one-year membership in the club, food, beverages, lift-ticket discounts and calendar of events.
