The fourth annual Johnstown Film and Wine Festival will be held at 6:30 tonight at Johnstown Flood Museum, 304 Washington St., downtown Johnstown, and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Heritage Discovery Center, 201 Sixth Ave. in the Cambria City section of Johnstown.
“So You Wanna Make Pictures,” a panel discussion on the filmmaking process, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the discovery center’s education center.
After a wine tasting, the festival will culminate on Saturday, when the top entries and winners’ films are shown in the courtyard at the discovery center, beginning at dusk.
Tickets, which are available at the flood museum and discovery center gift shops, are $5 at the door for tonight and $15 for adults and $10 for students on Saturday.

Street party
“A Nonprofit Day at the Carnival” will be presented by the Village Row Shoppes as part of its Second Sunday Street Festivals from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday on Village Street between Grove and Park avenues in the Moxham section of Johnstown.
The outdoor block party will feature local and regional nonprofit organizations presenting carnival-style events, including an inflatable obstacle course for children and adults.
Participating nonprofit groups are Easter Seals of Western Pennsylvania, The Learning Lamp and Grove Avenue and Park Avenue United Methodist churches.
Proceeds raised by each nonprofit will benefit each group.
The All or Nothing wrestling group will present demonstrations throughout the day.
Entertainment will be provided from 3 to 7 p.m. by the Chi, a local rock-cover band, and Kojomodibo Sun, a rock, soul, funk, blues fusion group from New York City.
Village Street Cafe will provide carnival-style food and refreshments.
Green gala
Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art’s 31st Gala will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday on the campus of St. Francis University, Loretto.
A natural, green theme will feature a falconry exhibition and organic food.
The cost is $175 per person.
Proceeds from the gala allow the museum’s four facilities in Altoona, Johnstown, Ligonier Valley and Loretto to remain open free of charge.
The gala also helps underwrite the museum’s exhibitions and arts-in-education and arts-for-healing programs.

High-energy classes
“High School Musical 2” will be in session at 8 tonight and Saturday at Cresson Lake Playhouse, 279 Shapiro Road, Loretto.
The Wildcats are out of school and spending the summer at a country club in this sequel to the Disney hit.
Tickets are $17 for adults and $10 for children younger than 12.

Jazz in the park
Jazz in Your Face will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Central Park, downtown Johns-town, as part of the Concerts in the Park series.
Music lovers should bring a blanket or lawn chair or sit on one of the park’s benches.
Southern steel
Auditions for Cresson Lake Playhouse’s production of “Steel Magnolias” will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the theater’s rehearsal hall, 526 W. Ogle St., Ebensburg.
Scripts are available for review at the business office, also located at 526 W. Ogle St.
The show will be performed Sept. 3-12 at the barn theater at 279 Shapiro Road, Loretto.

Museum magic
“Another Night at Another Museum” will be presented from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday at Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd., Westmont.
Participants will get to watch portions of “Night at the Museum: The Battle of the Smithsonian” and craft clay bobbleheads of the movie’s characters.
They also will design and paint a model airplane that Amelia Earhart would have used, tour the world’s museums and paint their own rendition of DaVinci’s “Mona Lisa.”
The cost is $29 for arts center members and $32 for nonmembers.

Bandshell blast
A double bill will continue the summer concert series Sunday at Roxbury Bandshell on Franklin Street in Johnstown.
Whiskey River Panhandlers will perform at 5 p.m., with George Lucas at 6.
