EBENSBURG - Dani Link and Lindsy Sammarco scored 12 and 10 points, respectively, to lead Bishop Carroll.
Allison Leyo’s 12 points topped the Owls.
Portage 43, JCS 30
PORTAGE - Kelsie Spaid scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Portage.
Teammate Alyssa Madigan had six steals.
Windber 72, Shanksville 26
WINDBER – Jen Rasko had 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists to lead Windber to victory.
Kayla Stockenus led the visitors with 13 points.
Richland 38, Somerset 33
Lauren Keffer scored 12 points and Casey Baumgardner added 10 to lead Richland to a win at home.
Somerset was led by Nicole Landis, who had 10 points.
Forest Hills 64, Johnstown 39
Casey Gallaher and Becky Bard scored 13 points each to lead Forest Hills to a win at Johnstown.
Tyneshia Smith’s 14 points and 13 rebounds led the Trojans in both categories.
Homer-Center 68, Laurel Valley 28
HOMER CITY – Katlyn Skinner’s 25 points led the way as Homer-Center defeated Laurel Valley.
Lauren Valyo had 15 points for the Wildcats. Julie Snyder’s 11 points topped Laurel Valley.
Hollidaysburg 57, Westmont 48
Rachel McClain’s 20 points led three double-digit performances for Hollidaysburg in a victory at Westmont.
Elle Collins and Alex Gildea had 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Golden Tigers.
Gina Rievel’s 18 points led the Hilltoppers.
Boys
Berlin 67, Meyersdale 41
BERLIN – Berlin raced to a 37-14 lead at the half and handled rival Meyersdale for a WestPAC win.
Alex Will led the Mountaineers (6-4) with 18 points while Dakota Glessner had
13 and Scott Gindlesperger added 11.
Detrick Peterman’s 17 points paced the the Red Raiders while Justin Donaldson had 10.
C. Township 64, Blacklick Valley 32
NANTY GLO – Conemaugh Township jumped out to a 29-9 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a WestPAC victory at Blacklick Valley.
Kyle Zambanini led the Indians (7-2) with 16 points and Seth Zaman added 10.
Blacklick Valley (4-3), which trailed 50-19 at the half, did not have any players score in double figures.
North Star 76, Portage 65
PORTAGE – Jake Fleegle’s 26 points led North Star in a road win over Portage.
Wade Walker had 16 points, Cory Bloom 15 and Tony Strasiser 13 for the Cougars.
Andrew Maul and Ryan Scoran had 17 points each for the hosts.
Harmony 41, Penn Cambria 35
CRESSON – Cameron Norris scored 23 points and Erik Wetteroth added 10 to lead Harmony to a win on the road.
Joe Dziabo’s 16 points topped the Panthers.
Shade 69, Shanksville 53
SHANKSVILLE – Kenny Gibbons scored 34 points and Kenny Smith added 22 as Shade picked up a road victory.
Carson Shaulis kept the Vikings (0-8) in the game by scoring 29 points, including five 3-pointers, and Cullen Swank had 10 points.

Ferndale captures win in Jess Ambroe Classic
The listed opponent for Northern Cambria in Friday night’s Laurel Mountain varsity hockey game at Cambria County War Memorial was Ferndale.
What the Reapers encountered was an emotional and purple-clad Jess’ Army.
The Yellow Jackets were able to cultivate the emotion and high spirits to a 7-1 win in the second Jess Ambroe Classic. -
Rams roll past Blue Jays
It had been a while since the Richland Rams had played a varsity hockey game. Though the Rams’ last action came on Jan. 12, Richland showed little rust as it trounced Conemaugh Valley 12-1 Friday evening at Cambria County War Memorial.
Richland (7-3-2) posted four goals in the game’s first 4:33 as it buried the Blue Jays (1-14) early. -

UPDATED Bedford advances in PIAA wrestling in odd way
It’s not often that a team can win a match at the PIAA Class AA Dual-Meet Championships while giving up two forfeits, but that’s exactly what Bedford did this afternoon at the Giant Center.
In fact, the Bisons won 30-29 over Pen Argyl because they forfeited.
