High School Girls

Marion Center 52 Ligonier Valley 44

LIGONIER – Marion Center went 18-for-25 from the free-throw line in the second half to hand Ligonier Valley its first loss of the season on Thursday night.

Bridget McClure led the Stingers (13-2) with 19 points while Nicole Miloser had 18.

Freshman Maddy Grimm led Ligonier Valley (15-1) with 16 points.

Tyneshia Smith scored

16 points and pulled down

11 rebounds as Johnstown defeated visiting Penn Cambria.

Amber Mangus contributed 13 points to the victory.

Jess Delic’s 18 points led the Panthers, who got 14 from Brianna Kearney.

Turkeyfoot Valley 24

CONFLUENCE – Shade put six scorers in double figures en route to a lopsided win at Turkeyfoot Valley.

Erin Spinelli, Casey Roberts, Ashley Manges and Chesley Pongrac scored 11 points each for the Panthers while Kristen Corradini and Becca Muha had 10 each. Marlee Zubek had seven assists.

BERLIN – Brooke Snyder scored 18 points and Caitlyn Rohrs added 12 as Berlin notched a win.

Emily Miller’s 13 points led the Rockets, who got 10 from Sam Emert.

Conemaugh Valley 65 Blacklick Valley 51

NANTY GLO – Conemaugh Valley hit 16 of its 17 free throws in a road win over Blacklick Valley.

Beth Kendera had 17 points for the Blue Jays (11-3). Taylor Gruss scored 15 and Jen Percinsky had 10.

Jami Kish’s 18 points led Blacklick Valley (6-7) while Danielle Lesso had 13.

Laurel Valley 38

NEW FLORENCE – Sheena Muffey scored 25 points to lead Saltsburg’s rout of host Laurel Valley.

Sarah Prenni added 16 points for the Trojans (8-7) while Trisha Gabrielson had 11.

Julie Brown’s 20 points and 10 rebounds led Laurel Valley (1-14).

Meyersdale 51 Salisbury 34

SALISBURY - Katie Vena scored 19 points and Elizabeth Caton added 14 to lead Meyersdale.

Salisbury got 13 points from Alayna Harshberger and 10 from Lydia Hale-Cooper.

HOLLSOPPLE – Lindsay Najjar scored 10 points in a losing effort as Johnstown

Christian succumbed to Great Commission.

MUNDYS CORNER - Tyler Gary had 12 points to lead Cambria County Christian while Tyler Berkebile and Josh Flaherty added 10 tallies each.

HOLLSOPPLE – Alex Clark scored 21 points and Mike Carrieri had 13 as Great Commission edged host Johnstown Christian School.

Jordan Robson and Jonluke Varner each scored 11 points for JCS (1-13).

CRESSON - Quayshawn Thompson and Alkwan Williams scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds each in a win at Penn Cambria.
