High School Girls



Penn Cambria 42

Bedford 23

BEDFORD – Penn Cambria outscored Bedford 29-10 in the second half to break open a tie game.

Jess Delic led the Panthers with

16 points and Brianna Mulhearn chipped in with 10.



Portage 50, Salisbury 47

SALISBURY – Portage held off a big comeback attempt for a WestPAC win at Salisbury.

The Mustangs, who were led by Tanea Lehman’s 15 points, were outscored

20-10 in the final quarter. Sheila Adams added eight points for Portage.

Alayna Harshberger paced the Elks with 15 points and Lydia Hale-Cooper scored 13.



Ferndale 54

Meyersdale 20

MEYERSDALE – Ferndale held Meyersdale to single-digit scoring in all four quarters, including just one in the second.

Ferndale’s Brittany Eisenhuth led all scorers with 34 points.



Cambria Heights 61 Richland 37

Cambria Heights had four players in double-figures in a win at Richland.

Danielle Bodek led all scorers with

14 points. Maria Pompa and Miranda Zeanchock added 13 apiece, while Alyssa Anna finished with 10.

Casey Baumgardner led Richland with 10 points.



Blacklick 45, Shanksville 41

SHANKSVILLE – Blacklick Valley outscored host Shanksville-Stonycreek 21-9 in the third quarter en route to a WestPAC victory.

Alison Verba scored 13 points for Blacklick.

Kayla Maust had a game-high

27 points for Shanksville. She also grabbed 14 rebounds and five steals.



Windber 92, Shade 58

CAIRNBROOK – Jen Rasko scored a game-high 30 points to lead four Windber players in double figures. Rasko also had 14 rebounds and seven assists.

Sarah Berkey scored 16 points for the 3-0 Ramblers while Courtney Petrunak had 15 and Beth Weaver pitched in with 10.

Casey Roberts scored 14 points for Shade.



Somerset 61,

Central Cambria 34

SOMERSET – Nicole Shaffer scored 18 points and Chelsea Shaulis added

10 in Somerset’s win.



Forest Hills 50

Westmont 40

Casey Gallaher scored 16 points and Chloe Wieczorek had 13 points in Forest Hills’ victory at Westmont.

Gina Rievel scored a game-high

27 points for the Hilltoppers.



Berlin 41

Conemaugh Valley 33

BERLIN – Brooke Snyder scored

16 points for the Mountaineers.

Beth Kendera led Conemaugh Valley with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Taylor Gruss had eight rebounds and three steals.



Bishop Guilfoyle 76 Johnstown 26

Alli Williams scored 18 points, Hayley Adams had 14 and Kelsey Livoti added a dozen as Bishop Guilfoyle beat host Greater Johnstown.

Tynesha Smith led the Trojans with 14 points.



Northern Cambria 72 Laurel Valley 14

NEW FLORENCE – Breanna Kochinsky scored 32 points to lead Northern Cambria’s rout of host Laurel Valley.

Janae Dunchack scored a dozen points and Ariel Rocco had 10.



Ligonier Valley 56 Saltsburg 36

LIGONIER – Emily Daugherty scored 19 points and Kristen Gabelt added

16 in the Mounties’ Heritage Conference victory.

Trisha Gabrielson led Saltsburg with 13 points while Sheena Muffey added a dozen.



High School Boys

Northern Cambria 60 Portage 37

PORTAGE – Tony Rocco scored

14 points while Jordan Stiles and Joe Yuhas each poured in 13 to lead Northern Cambria.

Andrew Maul paced Portage with

15 points.



Central Cambria 81 Somerset 49

EBENSBURG – Central Cambria had four players in double-figures and three players with double-doubles in a victory over Somerset.

Caleb Handlon led the way with

26 points and 10 rebounds, Zac Vigneault had 14 points and 12 assists, Brian Holsinger had 12 points and

10 rebounds, and Mitchell Brown added 10 points.



Forest Hills 66

Westmont 40

SIDMAN–Luke Gallaher overcame a second-quarter ankle injury to score

27 points in Forest Hills’ victory over Westmont.

Tanner Thomas had 15 points and eight rebounds for the Rangers while Cody Johnson grabbed four steals.

A.J. Rievel led Westmont with

18 points.
