Steelers fan Toby Keith plans eatery near stadium

PITTSBURGH — Country singer Toby Keith is planning to put his money where other Pittsburgh Steelers fans’ mouths are: In a restaurant near the team’s home stadium, Heinz Field.

Columbus, Ohio-based Continental Real Estate Cos. says “Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill” will be located in a building planned near the stadium. Keith is known to be a fan of the team.

The southern-style sports bar would open in 2014 and feature live entertainment, including up-and-coming country acts.

Keith’s restaurant chain started in his native state of Oklahoma and is named for his 2003 hit, “I Love This Bar.”

The restaurant is expected to cater to Steelers fans as well as those attending baseball games at PNC Park and concerts at the Stage AE music venue, which are both also nearby.
