HASTINGS —
An Indiana County man was ordered this morning to stand trial in Cambria County Court in the 2010 beating death of a Northern Cambria man.
Sherman Lynn Holes, 43, of Cherry Tree, is accused of using a small section of a wooden board to beat 79-year-old Arthur “Arch” Henry on the head on June 30, 2010, in Henry’s mobile-home. Henry died three days later at Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
At a two-hour preliminary hearing today, District Judge Michael Zungali ordered Holes to stand trial on charges of criminal homicide and aggravated assault. Prosecutors dropped a robbery charge in the incident.
