2. JURY CONTINUING TO DELIBERATE WHETHER PHILADELPHIA OFFICIALS ARE LIABLE FOR OFF-DUTY FATAL SHOOTING BY DRUNKEN OFFICER

The family of William Panas Jr. is suing because they contend Officer Frank Tepper was subject of nearly three dozen complaints over 16 years before he fatally shot Panas while breaking up an argument outside a baby shower.

3. MUMMERS’ PROPS MIGHT HAVE BEEN DESTROYED IN PHILLY WAREHOUSE FIRE

Members of the Fralinger String Band say they’re waiting to survey the damage from the blaze in South Philadelphia. The band is one of several Mummers groups that perform in outlandish costumes during the city’s annual parade on New Year’s Day.
