Grand opening: Rothfus unlocks doors to downtown office

JOHNSTOWN — Thanks, in part, to a strong working relationship between U.S. Rep. Keith Rothfus,

R-Sewickley, and Cambria County’s two Republican commissioners, the 12th district congressman found a location for his new local office right in the middle of downtown Johnstown.

Rothfus is renting space at 110 Franklin St., Suite 150, in the Cambria County Central Park Complex.

A grand opening ceremony took place on Tuesday morning.

“The county has an office building here,” Rothfus said. “I wanted to be in downtown Johns town, and it all worked out.”

Commissioners Doug Lengenfelder and Mark Wissinger helped to get the freshman representative into the space.

“We’re really glad to see him,” said Wissinger. “Throughout the campaign, he said that he would really be aware of Johnstown even though he’s not from

Johnstown. That was a big part of the campaign, and here he is. We’re really glad that he has an office here. It’s in a county building. That is something that we worked to kind of bring to fruition.”

Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
