The award-winning writer of Little Miss Sunshine and has been picked by Disney to write the Star Wars VII screenplay.
Disney's newly-acquired Lucasfilm branch confirmed on StarWars.com that Michael Arndt, who also penned the yet-to-be-released Hunger Games' sequel Catching Fire, is already working with George Lucas on story conferences aimed at laying out a storyline for the next installment in the sci-fi epic.
Star Wars VII is pencilled for a 2015 release, the website says.
