A local man was arrested today on charges that he shot and wounded another borough man in what police say may be a drug-related incident.
The suspect, Benjamin Gorden Schoenfeld, 33, was arraigned on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. He’s lodged in the county prison in lieu of $125,000 bond.
Police Chief Ed Miller said that the victim, 34-year-old Donald E. Lewis III, was shot once in the arm shortly before 2:30 this morning at his residence. He was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
