UPJ students display talents at symposium

— It was a day designed for Pitt-Johnstown students to showcase their work.

The Symposium for Promotion of Academic and Creative Enquiry, held Wednesday at the Living/Learning Center, offered a campuswide venue for students to present their independent scholarly and creative projects, including senior projects, undergraduate research, poetry and short fiction, internship reports, class projects and professional portfolios.

The projects were compiled over the past year in the areas of the humanities, natural sciences, social sciences, engineering technology and education, and covered topics such as mapping of social issues, emotions in music and stream ecology.

The forum was composed of oral and poster presentations, and guests were able to interact with students and ask questions.
