In Brief | Police investigating armed robbery in Berlin

BERLIN — State police are investigating an early morning armed robbery at the Coalfields Mini Mart, 1401 Main St. in Berlin.

Troopers said the clerk was approached outside the store about 1:45 a.m. Thursday and ordered at knifepoint back inside. The male robber demanded money and removed and undetermined amount of cash from the register. He left on foot.

Police describe the robber as a man in his 20s or 30s with a thin build and wearing a ski mask and hooded sweatshirt.
