SOMERSET — The Somerset Hospital Diabetes Education Center will participate in the American Diabetes Association Alert Day by hosting an education session.
“Know Your Risk,” a free event, will be held at 6:30 p.m. March 23 in the hospital’s Conference Room 423.
Participants will be able to take the diabetes risk test to find out if they are at risk for developing diabetes.
Information, strategies and resources will be provided to help individuals reduce the risk of developing diabetes.
Early diagnosis is critical to successful treatment of diabetes and delaying or preventing some of its complications, such as heart disease, blindness, kidney disease and stroke.
Organizers are encouraging reservations to ensure adequate seating and materials.
