Natural Biodiversity will host its second Laurel Highlands Green Drinks event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Art Works,
413 Third Ave. in Cambria City.
The event will serve as the annual opening celebration for Outdoor Heritage Month.
The evening will include a tour of Art Works’ green building, food, beverages, awards and a presentation of the Outdoor Heritage Month Resolution. A suggested donation of $15 will be collected at the door and will go to Art Works’ green roof project.
The roof, believed to be the first of its kind in the area, is a partnership between Art Works and Pitt-Johnstown’s engineering department. Art Works was awarded a $20,000 grant from the Foundation for Pennsylvania Watersheds for the project.
