2 country stars to shine at arena

By TOM LAVIS

Two of country music’s brightest stars are coming to Johnstown for a St. Patrick’s Day concert.

Grammy winner LeAnn Rimes and multiplatinum recording artist Josh Turner will perform at 7 p.m.

March 17 at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena, 326 Napoleon St.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the arena box office, where they will be sold from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets also are available at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at (800) 745-3000 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.

A limited number of tickets are priced at $39.50.

The Johnstown show is produced by McAneny Brothers, an Ebensburg-based produce and wholesale business.

The company is hosting its annual trade show the same day at the Pasquerilla Conference Center, which is across the street from the arena. McAneny allocates a good number of tickets to its trade-show customers.

Rimes has made the transition from child prodigy to seasoned artist. She has sold more than 37 million records, won two Grammys and received numerous industry awards.

She has dedicated time to helping children and veterans and established herself as a household name with such hits as “Blue,” “How Do I Live” and “You Light Up My Life.”

Turner has been inducted into the Grand Ole Opry and made a splash with his 2003 release, “Long Black Train.”
