JOHNSTOWN —
About a dozen people lost their homes when fire destroyed three Moxham buildings late overnight.
Two vacant duplexes were destroyed as well as a building with five occupied apartments.
Dozens of firefighters from Johnstown and surrounding volunteer companies battled the five-alarm blaze in the 600 block of Coleman Avenue.
Tankers were called in from other neighborhoods because the water pressure in this particular neighborhood was insufficient.
A Cambria County 911 supervisor said Red Cross was helping with the displaced families and the Salvation Army provided assistance for fire crews.
