A Homer City truck driver died early this morning after a fiery crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near Bedford.
According to Everett state police, Rodger Lewis Green, 58, of Homer City, Indiana County, was operating a 2006 International tractor and trailer at 5:50 a.m. in Snake Spring Township when he sideswiped another rig parked in an authorized parking area.
The truck caught fire resulting in the death of the driver.
The other tractor and trailer was driven by David S. Kunkel, 53, of Henhartsville, Berks County. He was not injured.
