Stonycreek Township police charged two more people Thursday in connection with the burglary of a service station where a cash register was taken.
All three suspects are now in custody.
Alexander Justin McAfee, 18, of Chancellor Street, Richland Township, was located at a residence in Windber, said Stonycreek police Chief David Dunkleberger.
McAfee was charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and related counts.
A 16-year-old boy was found at his home in Ferndale and is being held in the juvenile detention center in Ebensburg, Dunkleberger said.
The third suspect, Brandon Ray Darcangelo, 18, of the 700 block of Ferndale Avenue, Ferndale, was arrested Wednesday.
Police said a large rock was thrown through the glass door of Riverside Service Station on Eisenhower Boulevard around 1 a.m. Wednesday. A cash register, $50 in cash, two cartons of cigarettes and chewing tobacco were stolen.
The cash register was carried for about a mile before it was dropped behind JATS Transmission in Ferndale, the chief said.
Darcangelo was found hiding behind JATS, police said.
Darcangelo and McAfee were arraigned by District Judge Michael Musulin of Johnstown.
A rock had been thrown through a side window at the same service station two weeks earlier, but nothing was taken, Dunkleberger said.
Police from West Hills, Richland, Ferndale, Dale and Upper Yoder assisted in the investigation.
“In my 25 years in police work, this was the best cooperation I’ve seen between law enforcement agencies,” Dunkleberger said.
