Bikers to rumble through Richland


Get ready to rumble.

The third annual Richland Rumble Run motorcycle ride will be held Aug. 15 in conjunction with Richland Community Days. Ride proceeds benefit the Richland Township Police Department.

The cost is $15 per rider or $20 for a rider and passenger.

Preregistration is under way and can be made by sending a check to either McKolosky Chiropractic, 401 Theatre Drive, Johnstown, Pa. 15904, or Brotemarkle Insurance, 1390 Eisenhower Blvd., Johnstown, 15904. Those preregistering should include their T-shirt size.

Early sign-ups also will be accepted in person at Mc-Kolosky’s or at Brotemarkle’s. In addition, sign-ups will be conducted at the community days grounds, Theatre Drive and Schoolhouse Road, from 6 to

10 p.m. Friday.

Those registering by Friday will be eligible for a drawing of a $250 gift certificate from Zepka Inc. Harley-Davidson in Richland.

Registration the day of the run will be conducted from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Richland Cinemas parking lot, where free coffee and doughnuts will be provided.

Those participating in the run will lead the community days parade at 11 a.m. and then continue on to additional dice-roll stops at Walat’s tavern along Route 30 at Jennerstown; Seven Springs Mountain Resort, Champion; and back at the community days grounds, where designated bike parking will be provided.

The run will be led by the Road Dawgs, a motorcycle club made up of current and retired law-enforcement officers.
