A Johnstown couple has been charged with breaking into a Lower Yoder Township home twice in a four-month period – and then selling, for $103, some of the thousands of dollars in goods they alleged swiped.
Sandra L. Palmer, 38, and Frank Wadsworth, 28, of the 300 block of Messenger Street, were arraigned Thursday before District Judge John Barron on a number of charges.
West Hills Regional police said they tracked down the two selling stolen copper, a radiator and other items to a Johnstown scrap company.
“They took these items to a scrap metal plant the day the burglary was reported ... and Johnstown Scrap Metal had a copy of Palmer’s photo ID, her signed sales transaction and video surveillance showing both of them bringing it into the location,” West Hills Sgt. George Musulin III said.
Musulin said a home on Sandstone Lane was broken into twice: Once in October and again on Monday.
