An employee of W.P.P. Dough Co. Inc. was jailed Thursday after he allegedly broke into the Lower Yoder Township business looking for quick cash.
“He was looking for some dough,” West Hills Regional police Sgt. George Musulin III said. “He didn’t get any.”
In a court document, police said they responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary. When they arrived, they found David R. Antal Jr., 25, inside the business at 1280 St. Clair Road.
Antal told police that when he arrived at work, he found an office window was broken.
After an office worker arrived to unlock the door to the office, police found opened drawers, blood on two desks and a rock – believed to have been used to smash the window.
Officers said they noticed a recent cut on Antal’s hand and scratches on his legs and arms. Police also found a partial shoe print near the fax machine that they said matched Antal’s shoe print.
Antal’s eyes were bloodshot because he said he was out drinking the night before, police said. Another employee told police Antal had returned to the business that night.
Antal, of the 400 block of Decker Avenue in Johnstown, was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, criminal mischief and filing a false report to law enforcement authorities.
He was arraigned by District Judge Leonard Grecek of Roxbury and sent to the Cambria County Prison after failing to post 10 percent of $15,000 bond.
The company’s web-site, wppdough.com, says W.W.P. (World’s Perfect Pizza) produces dough suitable for pizza, strombolis and bread.
