JOHNSTOWN — A Johnstown man charged in connection with a stabbing last week remains on the loose.
City police said Richard Jacobs suffered a serious neck wound that stretched from his left ear to the middle of his jaw.
District Judge Max Pav-lovich of Richland Township issued an arrest warrant for Lloyd Rasheed McCrae III, 43, of Nathaniel Street.
The stabbing happened around 2 a.m. March 12 near
3 Reds Tavern on Horner Street.
Jacobs told police he was trying to break up a fight between McCrae and another man outside the bar.
A witness said she saw “McCrae pull a knife and saw the blade as it was being flipped open,” police said in a court document.
McCrae, aka John John Baxter, allegedly stabbed Jacobs in the neck. Jacobs was taken to Memorial Medical for emergency surgery.
McCrae got away in a taxi, police said.
Jacobs said he thought he had been punched until he saw the blood and felt the skin on his neck separate by about half an inch, police said.
McCrae was charged with ag-gravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
