SEVEN SPRINGS — It doesn’t have a rustic name, a timetable for development, or even an overall price tag.
But the latest proposed expansion at Seven Springs Mountain Resort already has one critical element: Interest.
A resort spokeswoman said plans for the new development on the top of Stowe Slope received “phenomenal response” from visitors to the resort on Presidents Day weekend.
“The response we got this past weekend was overwhelming,” Seven Springs spokeswoman Alicia Thompson said Monday. “We’re really pleased. I think we have a good project.”
The townhomes and cottages, designed by renowned resort architect Jack Johnson Co. of Park City, Utah, will have 9-foot ceilings with vaulted family rooms, private patios and decks.
Two- to four-bedroom single-family cottages will start in the low $500,000 range; townhomes with three- and four-bedroom floor plans and a single-car garage will carry a price tag in the high $400,000s.
The development will provide close access to the resort’s amenities, including skiing and snowboarding, hiking and biking trails, golf, tennis, swimming, sporting clays and horseback riding.
Thompson said the concept remains in the planning stage.
The number of homes and when construction would begin have not been determined.
“There’s so many specifics that still need to be worked out,” Thompson said.
The resort continues to develop 154 units at nearby Southwind at Lake Tahoe, she said.
Two years ago, the resort unveiled plans for an exclusive condominium hotel with a restaurant and bar, convenience store, exercise room and meeting place as part of a $100 million expansion at Southwind.
