Paint Township road project begins Monday

WINDBER — PennDOT announced today that beginning Monday, March 24, work will begin on the bridge replacement project on Route 160 in Paint Township, Somerset County.

The project will consist of the removal and replacement of the bridge over Roaring Fork Run. The contractor will begin clearing trees and removing material in order to build a temporary roadway to carry traffic during the bridge replacement.

Traffic control measures will be in place with reduced speeds posted within the construction area.

The work on this $1.1 million project is being completed by Clearwater Construction Inc. of Mercer and is anticipated to be complete by mid-November.
