Pregnant girl slipped cow abortion drug, police say
WILLIAMSBURG - State police and Williamsburg Borough police are investigating an allegation that a pregnant Blair County juvenile was given Prostomate, a drug used in agriculture to force a cow to abort a calf.
State police also are investigating the theft of a bottle of Prostomate and a syringe stolen a few days prior to the incident from a farm in nearly Huston Township.
Charges of aggravated assault and aggravated assault of an unborn child are pending against what police are calling known suspects.
The Prostomate and syringe were stolen from the Donald Eastep farm on Clover Creek Road, Williamsburg, on March 23. Police allege that Prostomate was put in the girl’s drink at Williamsburg High School, March 31.
The unnamed girl consumed the drink. The impact of the drug, if any, was not made public.
Police said Prostomate is a drug farmers also use to bring cows into heat.
