PennDOT announced today that on Thursday work will begin to resurface various roads in Cambria County.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing approximately 1.8 miles of roadway.
The roadways involved are:
- Route 4031, in Ebensburg Borough, from the Route 22 ramp to Route 422;
- from Route 985 (Somerset Pike), in Upper Yoder Township, near the Somerset/Cambria County line to Route 403 ramp exchange area;
- Route 3009 (Old Country Road), in Upper Yoder Township, from Route 403 to Route 3011 (Franklin Street);
- Route 1005 (Saint Mary Street) from Route 1006 (Syberton Road) to Route 1001 (Manor Drive) in Loretto Borough; and
- Route 3007 (Goucher Street), in Westmont Borough, for curb and drive adjustments only.
Advanced warning signs will be placed. Daylight signing and flag persons will be controlling the areas.
Minor traffic delays are possible.
The contractor for the $600,000 project is Quaker Sales Corp. of Johnstown. All work is anticipated to be completed by early October.
