NEW – Stutzmantown Road bridge work to begin

PennDOT announced that on Tuesday work will begin on the Route 1001 (Stutzmantown Road) bridge structure over Schrock Run in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County.

The project will consist of replacing the structure over Schrock Run with minimal approach roadway work and other miscellaneous construction activities.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane by temporary traffic signals and minimal traffic delays are possible.

Pugliano Construction Co., of Pittsburgh, is the contractor for the $800,000 project and work is expected to be completed by early May 2009.
