Arlen Specter to visit region

U.S. Sen. Arlen Specter will visit towns around Pennsylvania during the Senate’s August recess, including visits to our region.

At 11 a.m. Tuesday, he will be at Heartland Hall, 5564 Business Route 220, Bedford.

Later, at 3 p.m., he will visit Pennsyvlania Highlands Community College Auditorium, 101 Community College Way, Johnstown. 

At 3:30 p.m. Aug. 27 Specter will be at the Fred M. Rogers Center, Upper Level Banquet Room, St. Vincent College, Latrobe.

His visits will include open house town meetings in which constituents are invited to discuss issues important to the region, state and nation. Specter will address the audience briefly and devote the remainder of the hour to responding to questions and concerns.
