HARRISBURG — Cambria County is one of 33 Pennsylvania counties that have agreed to participate in the Federal Voting Assistance Program.
The program offers new options that will ease the absentee ballot request process for overseas voters in the upcoming November election.
An online tool offered at the Department of Defense provides military and overseas civilian voters the option of requesting and receiving absentee ballots through the program’s Web site, www.fvap.gov.
Besides Cambria, other area counties participating include Bedford, Blair and Westmoreland. The state’s remaining 34 counties still may choose to participate.
Completed absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by the elector’s county board of elections by Nov. 12.
